You're right, it's the leader that is the longest lasting console...yet another reason why it makes no sense when people say that Nintendo should throw out another console when they can't keep their current one in stock...it makes no sense at all.
People have to remember that companies don't (or at least shouldn't) consider lost sunken costs when considering future actions. It doesn't matter how much money you've thrown at a console (the PS3 for instance), all that matters now is whether you'll amek more with that unit or with a different product.
