First, why did they only look at 15 minute intervals? And then 5 minute breaks between Wii sports games? Of course taking breaks will affect your energy expenditure.
I would like to have a look at the actual study itself, but when it says that energy expenditure was 50% higher, but "energy units burned" wasn't that high, I question the conclusion. Also, I know that whenever I have a good session of Wii Sports (say, one hour or more), I know how sore my muscles can be. If you get off your butt and actually do the movements (as opposed to just twisting your wrist a bit), you should burn some calories.
