@Gaara42, I concede that Mario games are a safe buy for parents, but Mario Party DS isn't the top Mario game that stores sell to parents, from my digging.
The top 4 games that people mostly push to parents when buying a DS for their children are (from my asking of store clerks at 2 Gamestops, 2 Best Buys, and 1 Target), in no particular order: 1. New Super Mario Bros 2. Mario Kart DS 3. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl 4. Hannah Montana
Mario Party DS is usually mentioned as a game that the clerks throw out there, but most of them time, parents will buy one of the other games before they buy Mario Party DS.
Another thing I asked, was if people were buying Mario Party 8 for Wii and Mario Party DS at the same time, and not a single person at any of those five stores could remember when someone did.
This could just be a regional North Side of Chicago thing, but the trends from my stores have been correct in the past, and I have no reason to believe they're wrong now.
