I agree, excellent article and well said Powertrade. That is pretty much what I try to do and what I assume most of the top traders are doing.
These are just my thoughts but it matters very little how much I like or dislike a game. What matters most is to what degree I think a stock is undervalued or overvalued based mostly on historical information and my own predictions about how future trends will play out in the videogames industry.
However, I also agree with Joe80, there are times I will avoid or participate in a stock if I feel the sentiment is too strong one way or the other despite what history or research tells me. These moments of "irrational exuberance" seem to come when there is a huge spike of new users. As the market matures traders seem to get more rational and stocks return to normal levels.
Just my thoughts about SE, I would like to hear more about how others trade.
