@sagexsdx, I believe you are characterizing the Wii too much as just casual when indeed it is not at all. (See MadWorld for example.)
Different consoles will always appeal to different people and sometimes for reasons that have nothing to do with the console itself. I believe that it is not the overall game spread that necessarily creates the most appeal to a consumer for a certain console, but rather those couple of must-have titles.
Both Sony and Microsoft still need to watch their software sales because of the Wii getting more titles into the top 10 each month. In addition, the 360 and PS3 could start losing a bit of software sales due to multi-platform titles being picked up on the Wii - look at GH3 which is performing the best on the Wii currently.
