For those who might wonder what are the differences between this article and Nintendo's version, my take is : - difference in time period : Nintendo's are "since launch", while Microsoft's are "since Wii's launch". Microsoft's version has the same time frame, with microsoft getting one year head start, while Nintendo's version has different time frame, but aligned into same months.
In fact, I was a little bit surprised that X360's 3rd party average are less than double Wii's 3rd party average, considering that X360 has one year head start (userbase in launch - Oct 2006 period, which is 2.89 Million)
Curious note : In the time frame mentioned by Microsoft, there is one giant 3rd party game, GTAIV, that are not available on Wii. In the first 3 months since launch, GTAIV managed to sell 2.95 Million / title.
