@noobie, I believe it is standard that every game have period for fine tuning, final Q&A (bugs squashing etc). I am not sure that improving texture and graphics are standard in the final leg of game development, but it could be because I don't have enough knowledge in this area.
The fact that you get negative total bid (no bid at all from me) means this fact is also deemed as standard / not newsworthy by other players.
When the news is worthy, such as this one, we will upbid them.
I really suggest you to start "filtering" your article, to minimize "unnecessary downbid" that delay your community level increase. Study your submitted article result, try to get a pattern from them (which kind get lots of upbids, which kind didn't get upbid, which kind get significant downbid), and use them as your guidance for future article submission.
In case you didn't know how to access your submitted article history, it can be seen at "game news" tab, your submission frame (left part of screen), choose article from the drop down list box.
