Keeping in mind that titles like Rayman (850k+) and Red Steel (950k+) have had great sales already?
Sales of early titles have been good enough for Ubisoft to credit it with increased earnings, to get EA to move its resources into more Wii projects and to have smaller developers move into working on the Wii and DS alone.
I haven't seen anything to indicate that developers are discouraged by Wii software sales. Given the millions of Virtual Console sales, it seems like the Wii would be the ideal place for bringing back a long-lost IP.
