I don't think any stock should be delisted, EVER. The final sales tally is not something we're ever going to be allowed to see unless it's made public by the copyright holder or publisher. As such the value of any one, or all, of these stocks may change drastically at any point or time to reflect that. Removing stocks and cashing out is essentially starting a trend of betrayal for those of us who have chosen to play the long game in lieu of a quick and hearty return on guaranteed sellers.
With the advent of piracy and counter piracy measures, there's the possibility for an exploit or hack to be discovered in a previously "dead" title and regenerate significant interest if only for a short time, (i.e. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/25/psp-firmware-hack-drives-lumines-sales/ )
I feel that there are several factors which drive game sales other than those which are obvious to the average analyst, and that this market as a whole leverages everything, including robust statistical analysis, to come up with our prediction numbers. If it didn't not 1 person would have made any gains on Red Steel. At the point it got its incredible raise, it was at least approaching if not already in a state similar to most of these game stocks.
If you want to delist but not cash out stocks or suspend trading, i agree to some stock limbo where they don't show up during a normal listings query. To remove them from the game seems unnecessary. I don't have any objection to removing any of these stocks, but i can foresee a situation in which i would have interest in buying them. I object to removing any stocks, period. I think that this will set a an ever decreasing qualification precedent for delisting which will in the future roll over a Red Steel or Lumines in its wake.
