@justcrim, oh I definitely didn't mean we only trade up to the release (as there is nothing to cash out on until the game is released).
What I meant is that right now, the bulk of the trading for many games is well after the release. Many of the games listed don't have much trading prior to release because everyone is trading games in which there is VGChartz data posted. This makes the simExchange more about tracking VGChartz than about predicting. The biggest money right now is made short selling games that have fallen by the wayside and someone has found some number from VGChartz and gets everyone to short sell based on that estimation. That is really of no value to anyone.
I'd rather see us focus on trading games before they are released and we continue to trade the game while it is still relevant in terms of sales. I think the futures contracts does this a lot better, if we can get them listed earlier.
