@pilias_simber, I can't really attest to what the top 15 have been doing. I'd like to think that if VGChartz is the only information available, and it was wrong, the people acting opposite of what the information says will be rewarded.
Even if VGChartz is most likely wrong, wouldn't this information be helpful to veteran players, who know it's most likely wrong? They would be able to take the opposite position and convince everyone that it's wrong. Everyone will follow the veteran players who post rational reasons to ignore VGChartz information, right?
But if people are making money just by blindly following VGChartz, and they're doing it consistently with no risk, then I must admit this is a problem.
However, I still think it would be impractical to ban or otherwise prevent this information from being shared. Instead, I think we should try to increase the public's awareness of VGChartz's inaccuracies using previous examples.
