@KultofCows, I think the main cause is that release date of games are not properly updated, even those that are already listed. For example, earlier today I submitted release dates for Wii Sports Resort, since noone updated their release dates, even though there was an article that mentioned release dates.
If game didn't have up to date release date, people will not notice (upbid) them. If a game have zero article, people are also more likely to miss the fact that the game are newly registered.
The simExchange continues to list games exclusively from the game submissions section. Games are prioritized for listing by game release date and by the bids. I agree we do need to get more of the community involved in bidding for games to be listed. Thoughts?
@PhilHarrision, I don't know about others, but I do upbid those games that I wanted to trade on. But I never specifically go to new game submission page. I only upbid new game submission when they have an article on it. Without any article, I would deem that the game is still too early, and not worthy of upbid.
Does the TSE community ever look at new game submissions? From the recent game submissions I've posted all but I think 3 on the last 2 pages...and almost none have garnered votes.
Is the game submission function some remnant of a past TSE function that is still there but not used? Should I be bothering?
