I think that this should be slightly below the November Xbox360 future since the PS3 now cost nearly as much as the standard Xbox360 but less than the Elite. These price cuts I think will really help the PS3 in terms of sales. But I think they need to solidify one or two SKUs or else the consumer becomes confused with the myriad of different SKUs. The November PS3 future should be in the 46-50DKP range.
Has anyone commented how the Nov future has a week of post Thanksgiving sales in it? And that the 40GB will still be new for the whole month? This thing still has a ways to go upwards, I think. Definitely between 45-50 DKP.
@kspraydad, I can't believe they are going with those prices into December. I'm sure there will be at least a drop of the current SKU's until 10. November.
Well...we ARE predicting a 100% gain in sales from Oct to Nov while we are still unsure of the reception that the new SKU will get. In fact...though there is VERY strong evidence of a new SKU SONY may continue to delay it until the 60GB is sold out in the US else they have 3 skus on the shelf and confusing pricing.
Oh my, I should go to bed, it 0:30 here. Lets try again:
Am I the only one thinking the November future is underrated? Is it because the 40 GB is not confirmed for the U.S. yet? With that number this market is predicting, Sony can take the PS3 direct from the cradle to the grave. The future has at least another 10 DKP in it. Even the Gamecube pulled way more in its first 3 November what this market is predicting for the PS3 this November.

We all know the 40 gig will come to the us, but when is the question. Before this report it was rumored end of October, this report however puts it at begin of November with just 2 days of sales in NPD ocober.
@kspraydad, You won't have any trouble finding a PS2 new or used for years to come if yours breaks. Don't worry. PS3's with the EE didn't support all games correctly anyways. And if you do pick up a new PS2 at some point you'll be able to get the tiny modern model that takes up no space. I doubt you'll want to play many PS2 games though a year or 2 from now when PS3 has many AAA games.
