@Sieglove, my thoughts exactly. From the media I've seen it seems to me like what Farcry felt for me: more a tech demo. I think everybody who's getting a high end PC will give it a try to validate their purchase, but are these people that many?
I think Crysis' system requirements will scare off a lot of buyers and will result in many returned games. The game has not received enough attention to make up for this, and CryTek does not have a cult following such as a studio like id does. The game is simply too un-scalable and have too few points to make up for this.
I think this game looks really good.I even think the metascore should be higher. But with the huge requirements and the compitition with COD4,ETQW+UT3 (all pc shooter games) are being released before it.To me it looks like a clear short.I cant see this selling 1.36m and 1m seems generous. From this data it looks like this should be 75dkp.
@CriticalHit, I could if I wanted to pay that much for the Future, but I did not. I said they screwed with them, not that they screwed them. I wanted to see what the current selling prices were at, but since someone flooded them everyone would be unable to see unless they wanted to spend their money on that person's selling price, and there was no telling how many shares that would end up being.
etc etc....the system doesn't allow you to click and buy individually when the prices are like that so I put an order through for a bunch at 26.00 to clear it out. Hopefully SE will a: look into who posted puchase prices like that and b: alter the price input field to prevent leading zeros.
