I checked the vgcharts and it looks like the total in America as of 15th of April is 313,804. Seems a little low but the source isn't really that credible anymore. Just wanted some new numbers on the page.
Yes I know neither MS nor nintendo make a baseball game. I'm just saying they could in the future, maybe next year. But I absolutely agree with you about Sony's inferior sports games, they've always been mediocre at best.
MS doesn't make a baseball game and neither does Nintendo unless you count Wii Sports. For baseball fans this is really the only option. MLB The Show (Sony's game) doesn't even come out for another month and if one looks at basketball for a clue it's a no brainer that 2K Sports version is going to be the better of the two by far.
Good point LiquidJ I had totally forgotten about the MLB deal that Take Two signed. I did read somewhere that they are the exclusive third party developer, which means Sony, MS, and Nintendo can still make their own baseball game. However this does cut out the big player, EA's MVP baseball so this should sell well.
This game is going to surpass 500K copies easily. Baseball is just reving up and this game has no competition on the 360 because the MLB has an exclusive license with Take2.
February NPD sales were 113,000 copies. I think this is pretty strong given the stock price and I think its a buy. Take-Two's baseball series might finally be turning around.
