@zukaus, I personally don't pay much attention to stuff after phase 1; I think its one of the most exciting things on the exchange. That being said, I'd love to see some kind of blind auction system tried for IPOs.
For every single person who is supposedly getting "screwed" in Phase 1, there is another person on the other side of the trade making a gain. It's a zero sum game in Phase 1.
@pilias_simber, I haven't had problems with buying in Phase 1 compared to Phase 2. I just limit myself to buy a little lower than I think the game could achieve or a little higher when shorting. This has worked out profitably, the only problem is that I don't always get a buyer.
Thats because you most likely be screwed in phase1. Think about it, the price ends up between the highest buy and lowest sell order thats out. If you buy from one with an open order, you are screwed in Phase 2, because you lost money. Why not wait to Phase 2, buy there and after it is out of it? If you buy/sell in phase 1 (not put open order, just trade with open order) and don't have millions laying around, you are pretty much guaranteed to lose DKP in Phase 2. So why bother?
@-THE-RAY-, the only thing that puts me off about phase 1 is that it ties up too much of my available funds, I'd rather be using them to make money then sit in limbo for a couple days.
@pilias_simber,Two things put me off trading in phase 1.the prices are usualy bad and id be afraid to buy at 100dkp and phase then phase two is frozen at 30dkp.really i dont see the point.couldnt we have a discusion about the price instead?
