@Just_Ben, Even though it's a "significant" enough position to be listed on my profile page, it's not that big. It's not really worth it for me to work out of them, and it will remind me that I had an opinion on it at one point.
This seems like it's over valued to me (even at 6.80 DKP). The game is getting mediocre reviews, it's already been released on Xbox 360, and it was released two weeks before the beginning of the future's cycle.
Even though I really hate to use them, VGC only has this thing selling 30K through the first two weeks (and they try to overestimate NPD, from what I understand).
@kspraydad, thanks for the notice. We are now setting the Metacritic Future for Timeshift (PS3) to expire on December 17. We will check again for the Metascore then to settle the contract.
@CriticalHit, of those possible solutions, an extension would make most sense. The reviews will be out eventually, its just been a busy month in November.
The issue of us just averaging the 3 scores is that Metacritic doesn't do that. Scores are weighted based on the source of the score and what they feel is the validity/veracity of the site's record.
For SE to just average things wouldn't reflect what Metacritic does.
I'm ok, I suppose, with a extended period or a roll back but NOT an average as that isn't what Metacritic does. More than anything I hope that we can formulate a policy for future issues of this sort.
@kspraydad, wow that is pretty bad for this game, considering that it is being marketed pretty heavily.
It wouldn't make any sense to drop the price to 0 as that wouldn't represent anything. At worst you could average the 3 scores they do have. The easiest thing in this case would just be to extend it until more reviews come in, like give it another 7 days and check it again. There's no reason to roll back because we will get this data eventually.
Good question, possibly we take the average of the review scores currently up? This will probably be like the other futures were there is a roll back, though it seems like in this case the rules should be different since we actually have data, Metacritic just doesn't have enough.

Why're you so concerned about this?
