I meant to stick to over/under tracking but slipped up at the end had I had an edit function that would of gone. What I primarily pointing out that the PS3 sales remain to high.
So the 360 version managed 1.3 million in 3 weeks and you say it won't reach 1.8? I mean VGC is most likley overtracking US+CA (at least compared to NPD), because they sample seem to have a hardcore bias. But if we assume 1.3 million is correct, that 1.8 million lifetime seems low to me, thinking that we still have holiday shopping time.
From VGChartz "Assassin’s Creed is nearing 1.2 million units. The split in sales for 360/PS3 versions remains at 70%/30%"
So if this is true are we over/under egging both the 360 and PS3 versions?
That leaves Xbox at 1.25 million sold with another 600K to go to reach our current lifetime prediction. The PS3 with 750K sold and another 600K to go which if this trend continues is over 225K to high for the PS3.
Both the 360 and PS3 stocks look to high at the moment and the PS3 probably a little bit more so than the 360.
@-THE-RAY-, hmm...I generally don't trust VGC numbers, especially when it comes to big name titles and their first month sales--they tend to totally over estimate. Given how blockbuster titles have performed on the PS3 as of late, I'd still be rather conservative.
I dont know why this is going down from 29-24.VGC has this around 200,000 and it still has 3days of its fist week and in total has 2 weeks left it possible allready hit 24dkp.
Some real world (ie not the exclusive (p)reviews whos scores we know already) are trickling in (for both versions) and it isn't looking great for the Metacritic or even perhaps for lifetime sales:
Biggest complaint seems to be very repetitive game play/environments and AI not up to snuff.
On a personal note I've cancelled my pre-order (before I have to pay for the shipping) and will now hold a week or two before committing cash to this game)
