Regarding the games delay from summer to September:
I have read that the summer months are slow for video games (people opting to go on vacation trips and longer term activities than play video games in their leisure time). That could be a positive for the game.
At the same time, summer is better for gamers that are students, while September is the start of the school year.
These effects will largely depend on the demographic of the customer. Does September vs June change the games direct competition?
I think this game could sell 3-4 million , from the looks it could be great and all the 360 fans are hyping the hell outta of it, so a 30% attach rate wouldnt suprise me
Looks like people bought the following stocks and are now dumping them: Mass Effect, Lunar Knights, Formular One CE. Unfortunate since we have no data on them yet & 2 still haven't even been released.
@denji Three words. Gears of War. Original franchises can and do sell tons of copies.
This IPO is at a very low price for such a great and original game. I could see lifetime sales being double this pretty easily. And it's not like this won't have plenty of buzz. I've been seeing and hearing about this game for over four months, and I bet a lot of other people have, too. I'm going long on this one.
The game flat out looks amazing and has made numerous "Most Anticipated Games of 2007" lists from various magazines, and online blogging sites. There is no doubt, whatsoever, that this game will be one of the smash hits on the Xbox360 this year.
Are we at the point where we have no confidence in a game if it isn't a sequal to an established franchise? There is no way originality can thrive if the industry is in that state.
Eventually, it will be ported to the PC, just like KOTOR and Jade Empire before it. The only question is when. This game is one of Bioware's new original IPs.
Considering the fact that it is being developed by Bioware, the fact itself is a good sign about the quality of the upcoming game, not to mention the effort to make a trilogy out of it - it will be a hit, there's no doubt it.
