Mass Effect to Land on PC in May 2008.
Award-Winning Epic Will Be Published By EA
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--Leading video game developer, BioWareâ„¢, an Electronic Arts Inc. company, has announced that the award-winning space epic Mass Effectâ„¢ will be released for the PC in May 2008. Published by EA and re-designed for the PC.
Apparently, US retailer Target is either too scared or has the same experience in gaming as Cooper Lawrence, since they've begun pulling Mass Effect off shelves. What's even more absurd is that the game is actually in stock, but Target employees are not allowed to sell it...
Apparently, the new content doesn't take place after the game's conclusion, but in fact exists as one of the exploratory side-missions you can understake in the middle of the game. So that means you'll need to dig out those save files if you've already completed the RPG.
Bioware today announced the first downloadable content pack for their Xbox 360 RPG Mass Effect.
The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack hits LIVE on March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, for 400 MS points ($5) and is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the plot.
The discovery came from an EA newsletter which arrived at the store where Dtoider myaimistrue works. It lists the game as MASS EFFECT PC DVD 5030945065685 EAN07706226 TBC TBC ACTION 18+ 25 SWE ENG.
"A correction has yet to be issued for Fox News' misleading story on Mass Effect, but the network now claims that it's offered EA an invitation to appear on the air to discuss the game."
"EA's Jeff Brown has told GameDaily BIZ that his company will continue to stand up for its creative teams and the games they make. He says, 'We're going to fight back.'"
