@ixaarii, I don't think he's privy to the contracts between BioWare and MSFT. Maybe they (BioWare) have an exclusive for Xbox for ME1, but 2 and 3 are up in the air. There is absolutely nothing that has changed that would cause Patcher to throw out his "prediction" that ME would head to PS3. If anything, EA buying BioWare would be that much more reason for them to stay exclusive to Xbox, as far as I know, there are no giant PS3 exclusives from EA.
While we don't know for sure about the ideas, I don't think that BioWare would give up the last 5 years of development time that they've put into the ME trilogy right away to EA. I don't think that any previous deal would be affected by the EA acquistion; rather, their deal probably takes effect regarding IP developed after a certain date. If that includes ME, we don't know, but I'm very certain it doesn't.
If anything, I think we should be discussing the possibility of KOTOR 3 being multi-platform.
@feelmyring, I'm so shocked we don't really know about these deals for sure. On one side such deals should guarantee MS a big win, on the other EA would probably want to go multiplatform with a cool IP. I would say that MS 'owning' Mass Effect is more probable, except I've been hearing even Michael Pachter saying ps3 mass effect and I'm assuming he doesn't just throw speculations around if they're impossible by contract.
"The NYT bestowed Mass Effect with the honor for its "focus on character development, personal growth and moral tension, all fueled by a graphics system created to evoke emotional empathy." Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was honored for being the shining star on the PS3 and BioShock was named the "best newcomer." There's also digs at Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy for being "unambitious representations of the state of the art." "
@GoblinMerchant, But the big question is: does this guarantee Mass Effect doesn't go ps3? Would EA accept this or would rather go with other new IPs? Or are they forced to make the trilogy?

It's ok, just take it down.
