i would say that this game has alot of audio which will take up alot of room but not enough for 50GB. i just presumed that the cutscenes were prerendered as ive not seen anything personally to suggest otherwise, admittedly i havent looked into it, have you got a link?
i really want to know what's taking up so much space. as far as i'm aware of, the "cutscenes" are in-engine and not prerendered. i can't wait till the hacking community gives their analysis of the disk.
It was revealed last month that a Blu-ray disc wasn’t big enough to hold all languages for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4. Since all previous Playstation 3 games have resorted to the more constricted 25GB Disc, it was unclear whether MGS4 was to stray from this trend.
In a Konami retailers meeting yesterday, it was exposed that the game would be produced on a 50GB Blu-ray disc.
The Guns of the Patriots are locked and loaded. Konami today officially confirmed the widely rumored June 12 North American release date for Metal Gear Solid 4, the series' belated debut on the PlayStation 3. Earlier this week, Sony announced that the game would arrive late in the second quarter, and would be available as part of a PS3 hardware bundle with the system and the new Dual Shock 3 rumble-equipped controller.
@Laoldar, exactly, thats why I'm getting out of all my GLS stocks and sticking to futures. More money and a faster return on your investment, plus you actually profit off of hype instead of losing money because a couple people want to buy up a ton of stock.
Exactly, that problem happened with me. If you try too hard to short something, it costs a ton of DKP plus it costs money to buy yourself out of that hole.
Its true about the hyped stocks, you can't short them because they go back up and once you start getting 4 or 5 million DKP positions in them when they go back up all of the sudden you end up several million DKP in the hole and can't short it again without selling out of other stocks.
The best thing to do when you notice a stock is overvalued is to slowly build you position until we have sales data. Most stocks do move when actual sales data is presented.
the trouble is that there is a view among the more experienced players that even if you try and short a stock to bring the price down to a more reasonable level the market will go against you and drive it back up again meaning less people with influential money will try and so the price does not get limited as easily. a trend im inclined to agree with as im seeing it happen with GTA IV at the moment as a prime example, i know several of the top 20 players are currently short on it and yet the price is still at an unreasonable level down to all the hype. you have to wait until sales numbers come out for it to hopefully come down and even then its not guaranteed.
although on the other hand id say that halo has crashed from the 18mil point and come down too much. its just swings and roundabouts.
