and the talk bout quake wars is stupid...when the demo was released a lot of ppl cancelled their preorders cause they did not like the game at all look how well cod4 is selling for the pc....if the patch can improve crysis performance then the game will sell even better
well it has sold well over the estimated 60000 copies for november thats for sure the total players tracked in multiplayer are more than 50000 and most ppl dont play crysis multiplayer
Crysis as a whole is really a phenomenal game. One of the richest and most visually striking games ever made combined with a fantastic single player campaign that really never lets up after it picks up until it ends. If you’re looking for the game to blow away your new rig or simply looking for the next best thing, Crysis is here. It’s simply one of the best shooters released yet.
@Just_Ben,I know those are rough estiments but 20-30K looks a good bit overpriced anywhere.
Its very obvious pc games are not as popular as they were years ago as more platforms flood shops and stores across the world.
We saw a clear example with this with Enemy Territory Quake Wars wich had a full month to sell.It only sold 1.86dkp.(crysis has two weeks for the future)
in feelmyrings articlelink we seen the very high recommended graphics card(GeForce 8800) and 1.5GB RAM.
honestly I cant see this selling 6.60dkp in america for the future and 70dkp lifetime sounds a good bit off.
Crisis is #11 in the charts, should be somewhere between 20-30k units for the UK. UK is not the biggest PC country in Europe (thats germany). I would put it at about 80-100k for week one in Europe. (Yes that are rough estimates).
I hate to be the on to break it to you, but I say you overreact. Far Cry sold 500 k units in the US (and thats not a PC country). Just because of one bad PC number.
@CriticalHit, looks like reality has finally been priced into this stock and its taken a fast and tumultous drop to near 700k. These corrections need to happen long before release though. All the release info on Crysis was good stuff, it just took people a while to realize a PC game with high reqs doesn't sell 1 million copies these days.
sorry about the date.I think with any amount of sales this will go on consoles. If it gets terrible sales i might just indicate that people cant buy it because of high requirements as its getting great reviews.I think putting this on consoles regardless of sales would be the right move.
