MGS:PO sold another 2,500 copies since Alpha's post according to VGCharts. The game is slowing down--but people also have pointed out that VGCharts is not very accurate for small numbers. They just fill the space sometimes I hear (like 250 copies sold this week even if no data is available).
MGS: PO has sold 178,250 copies in NA through Jan 07. The game has sold 360,000 copies in Japan. This puts the game at 538,200 copies sold just 2 months after release. This is Price/Sales ratio is a lot lower than other stocks. Classify MGS:PO as a value stock =P.
I think the problem with this stock was that there are so many people who are just anti-PSP. Now people are saying this is the game that makes the PSP a worthwhile console and the initial sales numbers are actually pretty strong.
Wow I didn't think this stock was going to explode to near 80 DKP per share, I regret selling most of my shares when it did. I held them for weeks made some nice profit, but wow this stock has skyrocketed in ~1 week.
MGS:PO sold 270,000 copies in Japan through Jan 6, 2007 and sold 136,500 copies in North America in December. That is 406,500 copies sold in its first month. This game is now the most undervalued stock on the simExchange.
I didn't really pay attention to this MGS game because it's a PSP title but I also just noticed from Monkspider's post on Lost Planet that the gamerankings have been very positive for this one.
Just a quick summary from GameRankings, MGS:PO got:
GameSpy 5/5 GameSpot 9/10 IGN 9/10 Game Informer 9/10 Game Revolution A- Game Zone 9/10 Yahoo Games 4/5 1UP 9.5/10 Games Radar 9/10
No wonder the stock exploded when the reviews were coming out in early December (look at the chart)...I think the sell off that followed was just people taking profits and getting into all the other games that are listed.
Wow I just noticed how great the reviews have been for this game. I think this stock is way undervalued. This should be one of the best games for the PSP, yet is priced lower than a lot of other PSP stocks on here.

This stock looks like its undervalued because combined with the Japanese sales, the stock is pricing way too low for the European sales.
