these people feel the need to save the world from it for one of two reasons.
1. to make a name for themselves and/or secure something to their own end. 2. they actually do think in their deluded little minds that games are evil and they need to warn the world, to save their own souls from eternal damnation regardless of whether they're just providing free publicity or not.
@vGInfidel, Don't people realize that they are just giving free publicity to GTA IV? Rockstar's games thrive off of the free publicity all of these random groups create for their games.

that made me laugh out loud
seriously the only reason games are attacked is because of the perception that the interactivity causes all teenage boys to become mass murderers and is the root of all mankinds evil.
also the fact that games are a relatively new medium that is easy to attack as there are few to defend it, unlike film where if you tried to protest against violence you would be confronted by hoards of people denouncing you
Since not everyone has the time to focus all of their attention on getting GTA4's Achievements, we here at GameSpy decided that a thorough Achievement guide was in order. Keep in mind that there may be better ways to get some of these Achievements, and that I'm always open to better (i.e. easier) ways to go about unlocking them.
Why is it that video games are subject to the morality police more often than Hollywood movies? GTA and other games are protested for their violence, language, drug use, etc. while no one protests violent movies where someone's brain gets vaporized by a pressurized air canister or someone is killed over a coin toss. “No Country for Old Men” received “Best Picture” while GTA is protested…
