Burnout Paradise now has a release date of Jan. 22 in North America, and a demo of the game will be available in December for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, Electronic Arts has announced.
Guildford, UK – April 30, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced the title for the revolutionary new Burnout™ videogame currently in development for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360™ videogame system. Players will be able to take their dangerous driving experience to a whole new level when Burnout™ Paradise is unleashed this winter.
@gaara42. i totally agrre with you. the fact that its predessecors were as good as they were is alone enough to sell this game, let alone the additional publicity it has recieved. however i feel that the burnout series is on a slump, and unless they radicalize the gameplay and concept and bring something as original as burnout 3, i fear this may be the last million- selling burnout title.
The current price seems about right, it might be able to rise to 1.25 million copies but I think that 1 million copies is about right. This game will have a good amount of hype around it going into launch and it will be a fun, arcade type racer alternate for people who would rather have that then Forza. From the previews that have been read, it seems like this game will be fun, the open ended nature offers promise but hoping that they don't mess it up like what happened in L.A. Rush.
The graphics, from the screenshots released, seem good and appropriately current-gen (shouldn't the 'next-gen' be current gen by now?), hopefully it will run at a smooth and constant fps like previous burnout games do. Overall I'm excited for this game, this stock might not rise much since I think the current price is pretty good, but we'll have to see, the market will decide that.
(on a side note, it seems that people still do massive downbids if you sumbit a lot of content (such as images) regardless of their quality, as happened to all of my Burnout images)

To bad the thumbmail doesn't work, the link is correct. IGN seems to block it somehow.
