Apparently the Bluray version of GT5 Prologue will cost $60 in EU... Though take this with a grain of salt. Links: http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumor/gt5-prologue-priced-for-europe-298879.php http://games.fok.nl/news.php?newsid=20395
And the Prologue is free, for now, unless they change their minds:www.psu.com/Gran-Turismo-5-Prologue-will-be-free-News--a1105-p0.php, or, uk.gamespot.com/events/leipzig07/story.html?sid=6177157&pid=942026&tag=top_stories%3Bstory%3B2&page=2
We just had a chance to sit down with Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi to not only watch the Polyphony Digital president play some expert-level Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, but catch up on how the teaser version of Gran Turismo 5 will play. The early taste of the first proper PLAYSTATION 3 release will feature a number of firsts, including online play, damage effects for cars, and fully modeled interiors...
Kotaku got to meet with Kazunori and have written a lot about their experience with GT 5, including that it WILL feature damage, better AI, and better physics. This will definitely please GT fans, especially the physics but even more so the AI. http://kotaku.com/gaming/gc07/gran-turismo-5-prologue-to-feature-car-damage-improved-ai-better-physics-293208.php
"President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe David Reeves continued to build that friendship at tonight's press conference. In the past, details about GT5 haven't been that easy to obtain, but Reeves opened up the vault and announced that he game will feature 16-player online races, 50 cars, five tracks and support full 1080p."
IGN has basically taken all the information known about Gran Turismo 5 and compiled it into one article. Such features and parts of the game talked about are Cars, the Online (such as My Page), the In-Car View, Visuals, Wheel Support and release date.
These new Gran Turismo 5 Prologue images reveal a fresh addition to the series that fans (like ourselves) have wanted for ages - the detailed, all-dials-ticking cockpit view. And, my, does it look nice.
Before, enthusiasts (that is, reality-obsessives who avoid the disembodied third-person cam) have only had a bonnet-mounted viewpoint to opt for. But this brill view from your plastic and metal cocoon will undoubtedly add some much-needed life and tangibility to GT's increasingly sterile world......
Makidian, if you look at this interview with Phil Harrison, he states that GT5: Prologue "It’s not a demo, it’s a game. It’s a full game, and it’s got full features." That is probably a reason it is not in the GT5 area because it is a separate game.
So why isn't it in the Gran Turismo area? If it accepts the URL then there isn't much else I can do. I can't sift through all community comments and news on a game should be put in it's respective area if it has one. That's just my opinion.
