Square Enix renames the White Engine underpinning all its upcoming console efforts, suggests a Wii version and external licensing could happen in the future.
The Square approach has been to tackle every new project from the ground up but as development costs skyrocket this has to change: as an example the upcoming The Last Remnant will be built on Unreal 3. Even more ambitious is FFXIII's proprietary White Engine, now called Crystal Tools. It's a full suite of authoring tools and runtime libraries for PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Not only is Crystal Tools the power behind FFXIII, but also FFVSXIII and the company's as-yet unannounced MMO RPG as well.
Dunno! But we do know it's sure hard to delay a game that isn't dated. Square Enix hasn't said much about the game — which is, in a way, good, because we'd rather have them working on it than talking about working on it. Last we heard, Square Enix was smashing rumors that the game would be out this year.
Hmm..one is a DS game and the other is a PS3 game. In terms of consoles, there isn't a whole lot of overlap here. I don't think they need to delay due to DQIX cannabilization.
"In an interview with Nikkei Torendinetto, Yoichi Wada discussed the release date of Final Fantasy XIII. According to the translation he said he is unsure whether to release Final Fantasy XIII the same year as Dragon Quest IX, since both are high profile games and that might hurt business."

The fact there there are others that post old stuff (which you haven't pointed out yet) doesn't cancel out the fact that you shouldn't post old stuff.
If person A "break the rule", that doesn't mean others are entitled to also "break the rule", since person A have done it.
