Certainly, Valve established itself in a number of ways when it originally released Half-Life many years ago. Not only did it create refined and creative gameplay mechanics that inspired a number of other developers in the years that followed, but Valve also told a very interesting, admittedly intense story. Perhaps more than that, they told it well. Extremely well.
Electronic Arts announced today that The Orange Box will be available on PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe next week, on December 11th. France and Germany can expect to see the PlayStation 3 version early next year.
To put it bluntly, The Orange Box for the PS3 simply the least impressive release of the three, across the board, strongly outperformed by its Xbox 360 and PC counterparts. Those with a choice, who for some reason may have waited until now to pick up the collection, should look to the non-PlayStation 3 editions of the game if they can. Those who do will enjoy a smoother experience and have access to each platforms' version of Achievements.
