Evans says: "There's been a lot of being in the right place at the right time. When we went to Sony we were a tiny but very experienced team. Sony had to trust in us in terms of the quality of people."It was amazing how much they understood what was a new concept; it was quite blue sky."Even before the game has hit the shops, the team are already at work on a sequel.
The news? Alex Evans confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.
For those (many) people that were upset to hear that the PlayStation Eye was going to be the only image import option this will indeed be (completely non-religious) music to their ears.

Little Big Planet examines the very nature of games -- the dialogue between creators and players and the relationships possible between them. Yes, it's the most charming game that I've ever played, and it's one of the most enjoyable. But the real beauty of LBP is even less tangible: creative empowerment at its finest and an unparalleled motivator to want to create.
Gamsutra says "I have seen the future of user-generated content on consoles, and it is the Beta version of Media Molecule's much-awaited LittleBigPlanet -- which the nice folks at Sony were kind enough to give us advance access to, ahead of its imminent PlayStation 3 debut."
@Joe80, @kspraydad, This (1 week delay of release date for US release) happened before, but I couldn't remember the game. What happened before is that there are no roll back, since it is considered part of the risk of future investment (like ksparydad mentioned).
There was also a roll back when a release delay cause it to be not going to show up on a specific NPD month. If the stock was not IPO'd yet, KoC usually substitute it with another game. This kind of things happen quite more often that one week delay that were still in the same NPD.
This kind of thing is one of the reason I usually go into short. In this specific game, I luckily has cleared out my small long on this future, before this news hit. It is not that I have knowledge that this kind of thing will happen, but it is more because I feel that the 66 DKP price point it had before is high enough, so I jumped out.
@Joe80,As far as I know that is a risk of the future investment...only time I've seen it roll back is when the delay pushes you into another NPD month. So...if LBP launches in October I don't think we will see any kind of 'adjustment'...it is a risk of investing.
This is just great, less than a week from release it gets delayed. So much for investing in this future. Is the policy for game delays that take place after a Future has already been active to just let it roll?
