I say there where more than 2 connection/person that has this thing online. Look at the leaderboard. There are at the moment 25 k Wii's online rocking.
The title's first foray in a Nintendo console definitely holds up to the versions released on its more capable contemporaries according to the review. The lack of downloadable content is a downer, however, but what online mode the game has definitely improves the game from its previous iterations.
"... Wii owners shouldn’t hesitate one bit to pick this one up, as it’s the best in the series, and a must-have for any music lover."
Good
-The best tracklist of any Guitar Hero game to date
-Lots of master tracks from the original bands and artists
-Online play is a fantastic addition
-Higher difficulty level ensures experienced players won't get bored quickly.
The Bad
-Higher difficulty level ensures most people's arms will fall off halfway through the expert career
-Battle mode and boss battles aren't interesting additions
-A heavy dose of in-game advertising.
I think it's pretty much impossible to estimate numbers from this. For one thing, we have no idea how many Wii owners will take this online right away (I have not yet) because for many people it will be their first GH and they'll want to play it a few times first.
I just thought it was interesting to note that there were so many connections for one day comparing it to other popular WiFi games.
OK, how many would you say it is. I'm thinking on average we won't see more than 2 connections/person in a 24 hour period, many will only connect once, some more than once so it would average out to 2 connections/sale.
I wouldn't say that 122k connections = 60k sales. Well basically 24DKP the price the market seems to agree on, an I won't short it, because it got to hot for me to dump more money into it. So I let it drive and wait for NPD I'll guess.
@Just_Ben, After a single day there were 122k connections. Even if only half of those are unique connections it still means very good first day sales, when usually we see the entire first week with pretty good sales.
I would say the price should be closer to 24DKP based on the following assumptions:
122k connections = 60k sales for 1st day
for the following 6 days the game will sell an average of 30k sales, as we typically see during the first week after launch.
also I would wager a guess that the following week we'll see between 50-60% drop in sales from the first week, thats pretty typical as well, but I don't think that falls into this future.

That ledgerboard is from 2nd day sales.
