@Laoldar, Yep, its too bad people supported GH II's DLC pricing in droves. They tested the market with something ridiculous, it worked, and more of the same.
I'm rather disappointed by this. A playable version of the "Devil Went Down to Georgia" boss battle should have already been unlocked and "Slither" should've been there...it's the freaking song commercial!
I'm not happy that they move so quickly to over-charge people with song packs. Given how many you get with the game itself (which also includes the interface, guitar, etc), these packs should cost a lot less than they do (based on GH2 360 pricing). I'd rather they came out with a 50-60 song expansion disc for $50-60 than this.
@kspraydad,I agree, this is the main reason I have not purchased the game and why the PS3 is going to have fewer sales than the other platforms. But, I do think over time it will perform and sell enough copies to still be considered a success.
"Activision cleared up their immediate plans for downloadable content. Three new download packs will be made available for Guitar Hero III on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the month of November."
"Michael Pachter believes Guitar Hero will maintain a leadership position "for the next several years." He's also expecting "strong PS3 demand" to boost Activision."
