@Gaara42, I think this game is still overvalued, VGC has it at 490,000 copies sold, with 6,114 copies sold last week. Madden 08 sales for August had the 360 version at almost 3x the sales of the PS3 version. Also the PS3 version sold a total of 336,200+61,800= 398,000 in AUG+SEP, which would mean VGC total # may actually be overvalued.
33.62DKP + 6.18DKP = 39.8DKP, first two months of sales, this will likely top out at around 60DKP (judging by the huge drop from first month to second month, it might not even reach that).
As if having to download patches at all isn't bad enough, there's nothing worse than downloading one only to have it break your game further. That's what a lot of PS3 Madden fans are complaining about, according to SportsGamer, as EA's recent patch for Madden 08 caused discs not to load at all.
Madden NFL 08 on PS3 is no a great game. It is a shadow of its cousin on 360. Though the feature set is identical, the drop to an unstable 30fps hurts considerably. The visuals and the gameplay suffer. If you are a real Madden nut and think you can fight through the framerate issues, Madden is an overall good game. It just doesn't run very well. If you only own a PS3 and live for Sundays, then there really is no other choice than to give Madden 08 a shot.
Madden has arrived on the next gen console systems. While we have had it for the systems already this is finally one worth calling next gen. Great hands on article.
I apologize about being wrong about it being official (of course it is inevitable). However, that date is just a placeholder guess at this point...Gamespot isn't infallible.
