Well it is big enough so I can't invest more (33% seems to be the barrier). Don't mind on that short on Wii. It is really not more than play money, following a little lead I had a long time ago. But that didn't work out as it seems. But I personal think the price is in the right "range" right now, and well, since it is only play money.
@Just_Ben, Well, IMO, 12 Million for you is big, but not too big.
I think you should be more concerned with your Wii April short, especially if it is also 12 Million worth.
One of my source told me that Wii April can hit 800K - 1 Million, and I have 10% of my networth invested in this on long. If it really hit 800 - 1 Million, I stood to gain a significant profit. This source has been proven right before (several times), so I hope it will also be right again (I didn't believe it on previous occasion).
@Just_Ben, That is what I think also (MK Wii Less than Brawl), but I have been known to be wrong a lot in the past (and probably more in the future). You can go to NeoGAF and read the retailer musing, such as this and this (old, didn't cover MKWii period). The info about the retailer is confidential (and not NPD nor VGC based), so I am sorry that I couldn't give you a link to it.
Personally, I still have confidence in MKWii getting < 1.2 Million, but the confidence is not that high that I am willing to invest 25% of my networth into it. 5% networth is OK :).
What retailers? I want more info. I don't think MK Wii will break the record for Nintendo, after Brawl did that just a month ago. So I think it still stands, less than Brawl ;)
@Just_Ben, Better than expected MK Wii sales from retailer. At least that is what changed my mind. I used to short this one heavily (up to 20 - 25 % of my networth), but based on early report from retailer, I changed my mind.
I predict 1 Million - 1.2 Million for this one. Since my short is at 120 DKP pricepoint, the potential benefit is probably only 20%. However, if the highest # rumour I heard is correct, this could be 1.4 or even 1.5 Million. Since I hate losing money, I decided to forgo potential profit, and just cash back most of my short, at 4% profit.
As of now, I still have 1 Million invested in this stock, so I still stood to gain or lose some money from this stock.
Since I can't invest more anyhow here, do somebody care to explain to me why they think Kart will sell that well in the first week? I would figure it will be way below Brawl (1.4 Million) since Mario Kart should not be that front loaded? I mean 1.2 Million, really? I figure that the hardcore gamers that own a Wii and a 360/PS3 will go more for GTA than Kart (buy Kart later).
I mean there where many post that it should be under 1 Million, and I agree to them, what changed the mind of the community?
I purchased this game today and have been having a blast playing it with my family. they all enjoyed it, so it definitely is more accessible than previous versions.
Even if you haven't been on the receiving end of a blue shell before, the extensive multiplayer options, deeply integrated online functionality, multitude of controller schemes available, and simple gameplay make this latest Mario Kart great fun and quite possibly the most accessible one ever.
