Any thoughts on this game? Been nearly flat for almost a month now.
This game looks to heading toward a 83-88% metacritic type game, it won't change the face of the genre but it will be a solid experience that is worth a buy during the spring months. Due to this, I think that current price is reasonable, as I see this selling in the 60-85DKP range. It might sell more if marketed correctly or not sell very well if it ends up being too average and flying under the radar.
Dark Sector is unlikely to set the world alight. But if it can develop on the promise of its handful of diverting ideas, and recapture the dark, engrossing atmosphere of that black-and-white opening, it ought at the very least to be worth a look. If it doesn't run better in the final version, though, it won't even be worth that. So here's hoping that Digital Extremes can iron out the wrinkles in the couple of months it has left.
I wasn't really expecting Dark Sector to be anything special... but after seeing this I'm starting to see the potential of a sleeper hit. Especially on the ps3 where Gears hasn't taken it's toll.
During the demo of Dark Sector we saw at E3 we were given a glimpse of one of the boss monsters we'd face later in the game; a giant behemoth who tossed around buses as if they were made from polystyrene.
We love it when we unexpectedly get a chance to play a game after a demo presentation. That's exactly what happened today during our Leipzig Games Convention demo of Dark Sector, the upcoming third-person shooter from Digital Extremes.
