i agree. and i currently have no opinion of the game because i didn't try the demo (not interested in any FPSs on 360 right now. i have enough at this point).
but maybe the demo was built a while back. maybe it's not a demo running off near current code. who knows. we'll have to see =)
With less than one more month to go (26 Feb release date), without delaying the game, I don't think there is anything significant that can be done to address the issues. Unless they release another demo, with revised scenarion and gameplay.
Spark Unlimited is well aware that most people felt let down by the demo experience and has written a blog post assuring that the critical reaction was taken on board and that the issues have since been addressed.
"As it stands, I've been looking forward to the title for months now and after playing through this brief snippet of gameplay I'm considering going to the store and pulling my preorder simply on the merits of this lackluster demo."
"Now is your chance to actually step into the shoes of Dan Carson, the New York City construction engineer, as he finds himself at ground zero of a Nazi invasion of the United States in an alternate timeline 1953."
@Bleezy, I agree that this game holds almost no merit compared to the many other revolutionary and landmark FPS titles that have come out as of late. While the idea of an alternate world does appeal to myself and a few others, this game looks like just another reason to shoot hundreds of Nazis while walking through pillowed lighting effects and a bad story. After looking through the assorted previews and articles presented both here and on various other gaming websites, I doubt this game will ever clear the ground.
The main reasons for this can be summed up into a few points:
-Tired storyline with uninteresting main character -Boring WWII rehash that missed the WWII glut of a couple of years ago -Completely non-inventive multiplayer
@-THE-RAY-, totally agree with you (if i understand right what you're saying). It sucks when downbids are given adn you don't know why. Even worse, they have a flow: one downbid draws another, just because it's there... respect and thanks to all those people that justify their downbids in cases where they're not obvious or are asked for.
Wow people really dont like videos being posted for ths game.It really annoys me why people downbid and dont give reason.I Rarely dont give downbids unless there were really stupid comments and im sorry to those i down bidded and didnt reply. Its pointless to downbid it takes away your money, and if want a change in the video/article tell me!.I dont mind!
