* Before the end of the beta on January 10, there were well over a million downloads (860,000 in North America alone) of the MAG beta client worldwide.
*More than 225 years worth of battles were played out over the week — with an average of 3.2 hours played per person.
I just signed onto the PlayStation Network planning to hop onto KZ2, when I noticed something very interesting while viewing my friends list. One of the users on my friends list was playing the MAG Beta. Because he/she works for Sony, this version of the Beta could be available only to a select few industry employees, but this could also mean that the MAG Beta is right around the corner.
It should be noted that Zipper Interactive's online shooter isn't explicitly mentioned in the e-mail. However, language describing the particulars of the game strongly resembles that which was used to promote MAG during Sony's E3 press event. Specifically, the e-mail mentions players' ability to either fight as part of a squad or assume the role of a general calling in air strikes or deploying reinforcements, and otherwise directing action on the battlefield.
People should not get so offended when they are voted down. You'll never be able to please everyone and you'll never get everyone to agree with you. If most of the bids you get are positive then it should be clear that your contribution is appreciated by the vast majority of the SimExchange. Don't let a few dissenters ruin it for you.
Yes I can't bid anymore. I wouldn't mind if the spam detector takes me away the ability to earn money through my bids, but can not bid anymore is a little to heavy. Esp. since I think I made nothing wrong. I should bid on new games (the admins remind us on that every know and then) and then if you do it, you are punished and prohibited from doing it in the future ;)
@Just_Ben, Not so much I don't think, maybe a little. I've seen my old comments downbidded for no reason too.
There is a problem with game submissions in that people rarely look at them and bid on them. Games that should have been traded were missed because of it. So it told you you cannot bid anymore? See that is unfortunate. The bidding spam is helpful and hurtful. I wish bidding was refined more than just the spam detector.
Just a thought, but maybe you get them from your game submissions? I looked through and I gave you a down bid on one. No I didn't want to punish you, I just don't want to trade that game (but I am really thankful that you submit games)
It would be good if the bids on games would not be tied to users. It is off value that games get submitted even if a lot of people don't want to trade them. Maybe they would. And it is not foreseeable for those who submit a game if it is taken by the community either good or bad.
Ok, I can't bid anymore anyway (and bidding on games was the most bidding I did). Well the spam protection said I did something wrong bidding on every game submitted (either on the + or - side) so maybe I did something wrong.
The bid system can be your friend or enemy that is for sure. Random bidding can certainly be annoying. I remember I even put in an official complaint as I suspected constructive downbidding when my profile received negative bids all at the same time even for posts that were not current. Turns out I was just a victim of circumstance. Anyway 1 bid coming up that takes your grand total to 8 currently so already it has balanced up on this article alone.
@apujanata, He's right. On many occasions I've wanted to stop posting content because of the downbids I get. Sometimes I just get random downbids of 2-3 in one day. Seems to be happening more lately. So I'm not happy with the current solution of bidding suspension/expulsion truthfully. The only reason I can see for your article being downbid is that you also posted the screenshot in the screenshot section? People may see that as a duplicate posting.
