Either way, they're reviewing a "preview" version of the game. It's not the final one. Besides, why would "one of the most hated magazines in Belgium" (Belgium of all places) get a copy of this game before every other source in the world? If it was from an official Nintendo source, then maybe it could be more credible, but this reeks of "hey, let's watch all the online footage and rate it".
Aparently, if you look at the box art for mario galaxy and look at the letter which have a sparkle applied to them they are in this order, sorted by lines

As a designer, i think it is a coincidence. You be the judge.
This rumor coming from the same source (Gamestop) that claimed 4 million Halo 3 preorders...over 4 times the actual amount at the time (if not more...and people keep bidding up this debunked rumor).
I have absolutely zero faith in rumors from retail employees.
Rumor Super Mario Galaxy hits 400,000 preorder mark
Source: http://gonintendo.com/?p=24964
"One of our readers has been hunting down information on this, as have I. I actually ran out to an EB Games this morning to check it out. Reader Andre had heard from a GameStop employee that Super Mario Galaxy had hit 400,000 preorders via GameStop/EB in the US. He has gone through a few more employees, and keeps getting the same answer. I have now asked two employees about the preorder totals, without offering up the 400,000 number. Both employees gave me the same 400,000 response. It’s not an official number by any means, but let’s hope it is at least indicative of the excitement level for the game."
Well the source isn't that trustworthy, but if it is right, those preorder numbers would be pretty impressive
"In one sense, this is the first worthy successor to Mario 64," bellowed a typically belligerent Reggie Fils-Aime at E3. We all knew what he meant. "We know you thought Mario Sunshine was a bit crap.
While we cross our fingers in the hope that Super Mario Galaxy is at least as big as Super Mario 64 (which had 15 main levels, and numerous smaller ones), it is reported that Mario's next quest will take him through six worlds...
