Ubisoft announced today that Assassin's Creed, developed by its Montreal studio, is complete and will launch in North America for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 13.
For a game that has so many systems running simultaneously and offers such a vast area to not only explore but also climb on, jump from and hide in, we came away impressed that everything ran as smoothly as it did. We saw zero slowdown during gameplay, even when multiple enemies and NPCs were on-screen.
@dQuarters, I get what you're saying and I agree. I especially agree with this quote from your GameSpot Blog "Not all missions will revolve around Assassination. Ubisoft wants to give it a Robin-Hood feel, so expect a few steal-from-the-rich and give-to-the-poor missions. Which also lends itself to the importance of community in this game."
Thanks for checking it out. It's kind of frustrating that something I made over a half-year ago is still more than what sites like IGN and GS are reporting. Gaming reporters (not unlike other reporters) need to start asking more challenging questions, and stop dumbing everything down to the lowest common denominator.
@dQuarters, I checked out your article and it looked pretty good so I bidded it up. I think overall people will not be quick to bid up user generated content, unless they check it out. But user generated content, beyond comments, could be very helpful to the SE.
An article I posted in my Gamespot blog ages ago, which seems to be more upto date than the feeds we're getting now less than 2 month before launch.
Check it out.
