Or produce different DVDs for different regions as the problem seems to be with locales and in which case as the 360 is region locked should make this not to difficult although the only reason this appears to be an issue is that the PS3 has a Blu Ray drive.
Sony should probably continue to try and reduce the amount of memory their OS requires. Also of note in your article was that they're having issues trying to get the game on 1 DVD for 360. They'll probably compress stuff so they can avoid 2 DVDs.
A great article for anyone interested in the latest IP from Ubisoft Montreal.
It delves into the deeper parts of the gameplay not talked about until now, such as what you do when not killing people, locating targets and achievement points to name a few.
Are any other PS3 owners excited about this game like I am? I only really took an interest in it in the last few days and after watching the trailer of the in-game play I am very impressed. I grew up on ps2 playing mainly sports and racing games and rarely delved into other genres but with a lack of games for the ps3 and with the quality of the trailer, I am definitely considerring buying this when it comes out. Price-wise, i think we may be close to, if not a little over what it should be taking install base into account but if it gets bundled it could definitely be a big hit.
Assassin's Creed is not a stealth game. There are elements where you will need to be a bit sneaky, but this is an action title. It's not Metal Gear or Splinter Cell. From what we've seen, you'll be forced to make split-second decisions on a regular basis and will almost always be on the move. Whether Assassin's Creed is the best thing since melted butter on popcorn remains to be seen, but it certainly looks promising. With no demo planned, most gamers won't get to enjoy the experience of performing assassinations in old Jerusalem until November.
There's been a whole lot of hubbub about the next-generation of gaming and how it will take the interactive experience to a new level. So far, this new generation of design hasn't emerged. We've instead experienced prettier and at times bigger games, but nothing that truly pushes things to that next plateau. That is until this November when Ubisoft releases Assassin's Creed on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Finally we have a game with a design worthy of being termed "next-gen."
I suspect much of the reason for lagging price changes on this stock are due to a lack of information. As I understand it, this will change with E3, expect a rise if the content looks good.
i'm surprised the price on this game hasn't gone up, even with the lower sales of the PS3. this game caters directly to the average PS3 owner, i would be willing to bet that come the end of the year, this and GTA have the 2 top selling games out for the PS3 ... the difference? GTA is grossly overpriced right now, but Assassins is still low enough to make a good chunk of money on this stock. ...2 mil plus is my guess. (not to mention its coming out just in time for PS3 console and games holiday sales.
