"A few months ago we were contacted by Blizzard in regards to the Diablo3.com domain name. While they appreciate all the work that's been put into running this big Diablo fan community over the years, they still want the domain name...while Blizzard is indeed acquiring the diablo3.com domain name, they told me that this shouldn't be considered an announcement for the Diablo 3 game..."

Blizzard confirms new MMOG

gamespot - December 12, 2007

Submitted by -THE-RAY- (272) at 11:49AM PST on December 12, 2007

It's been assumed for quite some time that Blizzard Entertainment is working on a new massively multiplayer online game. In April, Blizzard indicated a "next-gen MMO" was in the works by way of job listings on its official Web site. Activision: "We're not gonna be at E3 this...

Gamin Nexus - May 1, 2008

Submitted by starship (297) at 7:29PM PST on May 1, 2008

"After careful consideration, for business reasons Activision has decided not to participate in any official E3 activities. We wish the ESA best of luck with the show." I'm not going to say this is the death knell for the event but when the #1 company in your industry doesn't come to your event you know you have problems. That means that Call of Duty 5, Guitar Hero IV and the rest of the Activision lineup will not be shown at E3.
