That makes the Premium only £10 more expensive presently than the Wii. Further details from Microsoft are expected at 3pm CET as they look to be gearing up for GTA:IV in April.

Xbox will no longer manufacture new HD DVD players for the Xbox 360, but we will continue to provide standard product and warranty support for all Xbox 360 HD DVD Players in the market. As we stated earlier, we do not believe this decision will have any material impact on the Xbox 360 platform or our position in the marketplace.

Aaron Greenberg: Microsoft says no Blu-ray for Xbox 360

Reuters - March 12, 2008

Submitted by Mushashi (5) at 7:22PM PST on March 12, 2008

"Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience," Greenberg told Reuters in an interview. Microsoft, which has stopped making an HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox 360, would continue to invest in its Xbox Live online service that already lets users rent hundreds of movies, including ones in high-definition. "We're the only console offering digital distribution of entertainment content," Greenberg said.
