Rus McLaughlin of IGN has posted a very interesting feature story over at IGN Insider discussing the fact that despite the Wii's undisputed dominance in hardware sales, Nintendo's console is not winning the console war and that the Wii itself is to blame. The lack of games that actually take advantage of the Wii's unique motion control is cited as the biggest downfall of the console amongst others.

The most searched for item on the UK's eBay since Christmas is the Wii, The Telegraph reports today. More than 1,100 of the consoles were on sale earlier today with asking prices as high as £1,000, aka somewhere in the stupid range.

The weekly software sales in Japan are in, and it seems as if Nintendo's exercise game Wii Fit is not only causing a run on Wii hardware: It's significantly spiking sales of other Wii games, too.

Japanese Wii Supply Normalizing

Getting a Wii in Japan isn't easy, it's easier. Well, easier than before at least. Akiba Blog reports that the Nintendo Wii is starting to materialize in semi normal numbers. Since the 29th of this month, the Wii consoles seem more abundant and have been located at Tokyo retailers like Sofmap, AsoBitCity and Gamerz, with it was still sold out at Ishimaru.
