IGN Review: 9.4/10 Outstanding!

IGN - November 12, 2007

"Overall, Crysis is definitely another win for Crytek and another one of those games that's more than the sum of its parts. They’ve created some amazing technology that’s scalable enough that many gamers will be able to play it on some setting, even if it isn’t the best, and have a good amount of fun."

PC Games Hardware magazine has finally done it. They got Crysis to run smooth on very high with a Triple SLI video card setup. The cards alone cost over $1800. I didn’t even know they made power supplies that could output 1200W!

Crysis review

Crysis is notable for raising the bar in terms of graphical power within a modern video game. If you are one of those people who worked hard and sacrificed a lot of time to earn yourself a fast computer with a great graphics card capable of mind blowing effects and high frame rates, you'll be delighted to know that Crysis laughs at your hardware purchase and will make you feel as though you own some junk that isn't capable of rendering more than a few Flash games and maybe an old copy of Doom.

Crytek boss Cevat Yerli told PC Gamer that Crysis can be done on consoles. They used to deny it, now their boss is saying it can be done. I think its inevitable, myself, after seeing Crytek hiring employees for console development earlier this year.
