These new Gran Turismo 5 Prologue images reveal a fresh addition to the series that fans (like ourselves) have wanted for ages - the detailed, all-dials-ticking cockpit view. And, my, does it look nice. Before, enthusiasts (that is, reality-obsessives who avoid the disembodied third-person cam) have only had a bonnet-mounted viewpoint to opt for. But this brill view from your plastic and metal cocoon will undoubtedly add some much-needed life and tangibility to GT's increasingly sterile world......

It seems that PSP owners will have to wait even longer for Gran Turismo to hit the portable scene. A PSP version of Gran Turismo 4 was planned for the handheld's launch in 2005 and now it is looking to be released during 2009.

"President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe David Reeves continued to build that friendship at tonight's press conference. In the past, details about GT5 haven't been that easy to obtain, but Reeves opened up the vault and announced that he game will feature 16-player online races, 50 cars, five tracks and support full 1080p."

Kazunori says it won't be released until at least Spring 2008. If the game needs more polish it could slip to a Holiday 2008 release date. It is taking 180 days to model each car, downloadable cars are definitely going to happen, and GT 5 will feature no damage, except possibly through future DLC.

PS3's Gran Turismo 5 Complete List of Cars Sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients. That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. Of course the damage model will be not present in GT5. Below we are attaching the nearly official carlist of GT5.
