Everyone knows how popular StarCraft II is and it seems these numbers will convince you all the more. In one month alone, Blizzard Entertainment has reportedly sold over 3 million copies of the latest real-time strategy game taking the world by storm. Analysts expect StarCraft II to hit 7 million copies this year. And from the first month sales alone, it wouldn't be surprising if the game goes over that forecast.

Given that the ESRB granted "StarCraft 2" a T for Teen rating, it may have come as a surprise to some when South Korea's Games Ratings Board rated the game 18+. Blizzard appealed the rating, however, and now says their sequel, which "World of Warcraft"-subscribing Koreans will play for free, has been granted a 12+ rating instead.

No LAN for StarCraft II

IGN - June 29, 2009

It appears that StarCraft II will be losing one of the franchise's most popular features. In an interview with IncGamers, Rob Pardo, VP of game design indicated that LAN would not be supported for the upcoming RTS sequel. "We will not support it," he said. Instead, the only multiplayer for the game will be found through Battle.Net, Blizzard's online service that is currently being redesigned.
