Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, really, is the biggest demo you'll ever play. There honestly is more to do here than in many full-price titles, despite the fact it's merely a teaser. It's barn-stormingly beautiful and feels sublime, and even though the online racing seems like a bit of a dud, we're sure Polyphony can update and improve it. Honestly, GT die-hards (and there are millions of them) should lap this up.

No specific details were disclosed I spoke to a PR representative from SCEA about the additions, but I confirmed Sony has plans for something extra in the North American release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. The easiest thing to imagine is more cars or new tracks.

Well, if you make just one more trip you should now see that the game has finally made an appearance along with the rest of the content after a long, long, long, long wait, and all of GT5Ps 2gigs are now ready to download onto your hard drive"

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Hands-On

Gamespot - March 19, 2008

As expected, the graphics in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue are of the highest quality, particularly when it comes to the cars. Every single piece of the exterior designs appears to have been modeled perfectly, and the lighting and environments reflect off of the bodywork in an extremely convincing manner. It really is possible to look at the game in certain conditions and believe that you're looking at a real video, which makes it all the more tragic that the game has no photo mode.

"Prologue's definitely not just a demo, but it's not quite a game, either - it's more of a play-set for petrolheads, declining to impress more than a tokenistic difficulty curve upon you and letting you tinker and challenge yourself instead. "

Lurking under that blanket is the Citroen GT concept, set to be unveiled at the Paris show next week. Citroen is staying seriously hush-hush about the car - all we know for sure is that it's set to appear in the latest update for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on the Playstation... and has a blinkin' monstrous front splitter.

It may have taken more than a little time for Polyphony to warm to the idea, but Gran Turismo head Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that the series is finally going to be implementing damage, saying it could be included as a downloadable feature for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as early as this Autumn.
