As surely as the sun will rise and the moon will set, the first Sims 3 expansion is prepared to waltz into retailers on November 16th this year. The Sims 3 World Adventures will allow players to take their subjects and experiment on them in exotic locales.

EA’s just confirmed that The Sims 3 has slipped from its planned February 20 release to June 2.“The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,” said EA marketing boss Russell Arons.

EA announce that The Sims 3 will be available in stores from the 20th February 2009. Collector's edition details were also unveiled. he Sims 3 Collector's Edition will also be in stores on February 20, 2009. The Sims 3 Collector's Edition will include the full game along with additional collectable The Sims merchandise and a bonus in-game Italian-Style Sports Car unavailable elsewhere.

The best-selling video game of all time, Electronic Arts' "The Sims" will be the latest video game to be converted into a movie after 20th Century Fox announced that it has acquired the movie rights for the game. The Sims has sold over 85 million copies worldwide following its launch seven years ago, generating over $1.9 billion in revenue.
