RUMOR: Details and Possibly on 360 Also

Surfer Girl - March 19, 2008

Surfer Girl is reporting some information on LA Noire. First, the developer is trying to make each NPC be an actual individual. There is also no tie to the PS3 specifically; the game could come out on 360. The soundtrack is primarily jazz. Possible to have reactions similar to the polarizing reactions to Assassin's Creed.

Possibly Biggest Budget of Any Game in the World

IGN - September 19, 2008

Tom Crago mentioned it "could be the biggest budget videogame in development anywhere in the world. It would certainly... in terms of console titles, be in the top ten... LA Noire is a massive massive project." And last, but by no means least, he mentioned that the game is coming to PS3 and 360 - up until now the title has only been confirmed for PS3.

[UPDATE] Rockstar has since confirmed via its official Twitter page that L.A. Noire is indeed in development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, the September launch window in Game Informer appeared to be overly specific, as the company would only say that "L.A. Noire is coming this fall." The original story is below.

Rockstar gets L.A. Noire

Gamespot - March 18, 2009

Submitted by wrangler_smoked (766) at 3:14PM PST on March 18, 2009

L.A. Noire is set in "a perfectly re-created Los Angeles" of the late 1940s, with players being given an "open-ended challenge" to solve a series of murders. The postwar setting will include the noir necessity of corruption with optional accoutrements drugs and jazz thrown in for good measure.
