The upcoming expansion pack, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening is set to launch on March 16, 2010.

We reported during E3 that the Dragon Age franchise would be heading to consoles in "the future," though it wasn't made clear in exactly what form it would arrive. Given that Dragon Age: Origins is heading to PC, it would make sense that we might see a version of the same title hit consoles, and BioWare's Dan Tudge has confirmed just that to Eurogamer.

Speaking with MTV Multiplayer, BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk revealed the developer has plans to support its upcoming RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, with DLC spread out over as many as two years post-release.

More than 1 million pieces of Dragon Age: Origins DLC have now been sold, EA boss John Riccitiello’s told NBR. Dragon Age, BioWare’s latest fantasy RPG, shipped globally in early November.

BioWare confirmed a slip to the "last half of 2009". The game will now release simultaneously with planned console versions. "Dragon Age: Origins is shaping up to be quite amazing in its level of quality and polish," said BioWare boss Ray Muzyka."I'm really proud of our team, who are working very hard to make Dragon Age: Origins the biggest and most exciting BioWare game yet, and we will work to ensure it not only meets, but exceeds the expectations of our loyal audience of fans."
